Cool Brands

Apple-
Apple would come under 'Elite people or experts' in Dyers lines of appeal due to that fact that people would most probably use apple laptops or computers etc when doing any technological/creative work due to their great quality. Furthermore, people who own apple products are usually seen as someone with a high status because apple products are expensive and purchasing their product gives you a sense of self worth. I personally own many apple products such as, MacBook, iMac, iPad and iPhone. The main reason I purchased these items in comparison to any other brand is their style which is very sleek and modern which i personally like.

Nike-
Nike is popular all over the world and amongst people of both genders and all ages. Nike produces urban style clothing and shoes which specifically appeals to teenagers. This is personally one of the reasons why I like Nike and purchase their products. Although Nike is associated with Dyers lines of appeal 'rich luxury lifestyles' they do produce products with good quality but owning nike clothing does give you confidence as they are a well known brand.

YouTube-
YouTube would fit under all of Dyers lines of appeal because YouTube has a variety of things on it, e.g, Music, Movies, Beauty Channels, Fashion Channels etc. Therefore, anyone can use it. I personally love YouTube because I can access it on my phone, laptop or computer at any time of the day. It also allows me to watch makeup videos which helps my makeup skills since I have a passion for makeup it is easy for me to watch videos online and learn tips and tricks which help enhance my skills even more.

Netflix-
Netflix would go under family values as a key brand value, additionally, Netflix is a site that shows both movies and TV shows. In terms of Dyers lines of appeal netflix would go under 'happy families' as it has something for everyone to watch, and brings everyone together. I personally like netflix because I can watch latest movies on it without having to go through the hassle of downloading them or buying DVD's. In addition to that, I can watch episodes of my favourite TV shows during my free time without worrying about missing them or watching them on the TV the same day its on.

Instagram-
Instagram would fit under social responsibility as a key brand value. I personally like it because it allows me to share my pictures within an instant and also allows me to see pictures that my friends/femilies post. Furthermore, with its hashtag feature i can search things up and see what other people are doing. It enables me to follow celebrities so it updates me on them. It is simple to use and very addictive. Lastly, undr Dyers lines of appeal it would fit under 'Happy families' because it brings people together and allows you to see what is going on.

Narrative

Tomorrowland

To begin with, regarding Propp's stock characters, we can assume that the girl is 'The Princess' due to the fact that she is being attacked and she needs to be saved because she is incapable of fighting back therefore the man is 'The Hero' because he is saving the girl and keeping her alive. Furthermore, 'The Villain(s)' are the robots who are in the form of humans because they are trying to kill the girl. On the other hand, the enigma code is that we aren't sure whether the robots will succeed in killing the princess and we also are curious as to why they are trying to kill her. Additionally, the action code is visible when the villain is trying to enter and the girl starts kicking the garage door and then the man stabs the robot with an electrical device- this signifies that a violent act will follow. In addition to that, the equilibrium is not shown in this scene however we can interpret that the girl and man are in the house planning something or hiding. Therefore the disequilibrium is when the robots try to break into the house and kill the girl, this leads to violent events. Finally, the new equilibrium is also not shown in this clip however we can interpret that it is either positive- resulting in the girl and man escaping or it could be negative- resulting in them both being killed.

Vampire Diaries

Firstly, the we can tell that the man(Kkaus) is 'The Villain', we know this because he has killed three characters for a ritual that is beneficial to him, additionally, we know can also assume the three girls who have been killed are 'The Princess(es)' because they are surrounded by fire and are weak which means they need to be saved since they cannot defend themselves. In addition to that, the man(Stefan) who is 'The Hero' is shown towards the end of the scene but he is not able to save the girls because he has been injured; we can tell he is the hero because when the man is killing the last girl(Elena) he has a helpless and miserable look in his eye. The enigma code is whether the girls will be killed and whether or not a hero will save them, it also a mystery as to why they are being killed however the three circles of fire and chants imply it is a ritual for the man. Furthermore, the action code is apparent when one of the girls try to run but are killed by Klaus with her heart being ripped out. This is a violent scene which suggests that the other two girls will also be killed in equally violent ways and this shows that a series of vicious events will follow. Lastly, the disequilibrium is the man killing the girls and the new equilibrium results in their deaths.
